Giving to Ifasina

On October 31, 2014 we were off again to Ifasina after a good night’s rest. TJ had muscle spasms from the hike the day before so we were moving pretty slowly. We hired two Malagasy men who carried our gifts and clothing balanced on their heads. It’s amazing how quickly they can make the hike in flip flops with all that extra weight.

One woman offered us a protein snack along the way. I was touched, but wasn’t in the mood for a live beetle at that time. I kindly declined.

A church for Ankevohevo.

Upon descending into the village, several children greeted us. Some even remembered my name. I was impressed! This would be the test at how effective our plan is…I was truly amazed at the outcome today.
