Update on Mananjara

On February 2, 2015 our Malagasy mission partner, Dina, visited Mananjara. He learned Valisoa’s separated parents have reunited so she moved away to her father’s village. We hope she is still in school. Vero, Sentia and Senia are all still going to school in Mananjara and doing well. Senia, the little girl with the vanilla colored sweater, is even #5 in her class.

Dina returned again to Manajara on February 20, 2015. He met with the teacher at the local school and learned that Senia will soon be #1 in her class.

Dina also took photos of the water project installed 5 years ago by a European organization. It was to serve about 5 of the surrounding villages. This system worked well for about three years, then it broke. Unfortnately, no one ever came to maintain the system and no one has ever fixed it, which seems to be a huge problem with this sort of project. So the people in this area are once again without clean water for the past 2 years.

We hope to gather enough information to fix this system so Mananjara and the surrounding villages will have clean water again. If you can help with this project, please call Michelle at 303-931-3141.
